Changing Who Can Present to Only Me in a Teams Meeting
There are three main roles in a Teams meeting: organizer, presenter, and attendee. You are the meeting organizer and by default, everyone else in the meeting joins as a presenter. Presenters have full control of the meeting including the ability to mute participants, remove other participants, and start a recording (which would make them the owner of the video). To prevent students from having this control, set the Who Can Present setting to Only Me.
Change Who Can Present Before a Meeting Begins
- Navigate to the meeting on your Calendar. Select your meeting and choose Edit from the popup window. If this is a recurring meeting, choose Edit series from the dropdown Edit menu
- Select the ellipses (…) and Meeting options.
- The Meeting options will open as a web page. Choose Only me from the dropdown menu next to Who can present? Select Save.
Change Who Can Present During a Meeting
- While in a Teams meeting, select the ellipses (…) from the Meetings controls bar at the top of your window.
- Choose Meeting options.
- Choose Only me from the dropdown menu next to Who can present? Select Save.
