Mac VPN Requiring Admin Rights to Connect
THE PROBLEM:
When the GlobalProtect VPN client updates, Mac requires a local admin to accept the new certificate.
If the certificate is not explicitly added into Keychain Access the client will prompt for admin credentials after restarting every time.
STEP-BY-STEP SOLUTION:
1. To solve the issue of receiving credentials multiple times with each connection, add PanGPS to both private keys.
2. Go into the Apps folder; search for and click Keychain Access

3. Click on System under Keychains & Keys under Category.
4. Right-click either private key that was installed with the certificate. Ensure correct certificate shows under the private key.

5. Click Get Info in the context menu:

6. Click on Access Control and then the plus (+) sign.

7. Hit keys, [‘Shift’+’command’+’G’], to enter search.
8. Type in “/Applications/GlobalProtect.app/Contents/Resources”

9. Add PanGPS
10. Once completed, do the same thing for the other private key.
11. There will no longer be a need to enter admin credentials after this point.
