Using the Interactive Tool with Epson BriteLink 696ui Projector
On the Meramec campus, we have four classrooms (CN128, CN226, CN228, HE112) that have Epson BriteLink 696ui Projectors installed in them that have interactive capabilities.
When you log into the instructor station PC, the Easy Interactives Tools software should open automatically. The pens are located in a white plastic Epson case that is mounted to the whiteboard by the instructor’s station (pictured below)
There will be a toolbar on the side of the screen that will display the functions for annotation. The next few pages show all the drawing toolbar buttons and their functions.
Drawing Toolbar
You can perform the following functions on the Drawing Toolbar. Annotation mode

Mouse
Switches from drawing operations to mouse operations and changes the computer screen cursor to a normal mouse cursor. Click the icon again to return to drawing operations.
You can use the interactive pen to click and drag on the projected screen.

Undo
Undoes the previous operation

Shapes
Displays a selection of shapes, colors, and line widths for drawing shapes.

Select
Selects drawn content or an inserted image so you can perform operations such as moving the item or adjusting its size.

Pen
Switches to a pen for drawing freely. Click on the left side of the icon to change the color and width of the line.

Highlighter pen
Switches to a highlighter pen for drawing translucent lines. Click on the left side of the icon to change the color and width of the line.

Black pen
Switches to a black pen for drawing freely. Click to the right of the icon to draw thick lines or on the left side to draw thin lines.

Red pen
Switches to a red pen for drawing freely. Click to the right of the icon to draw thick lines or on the left side to draw thin lines.

Blue pen
Switches to a blue pen for drawing freely. Click to the right of the icon to draw thick lines or on the left side to draw thin lines.

Eraser
Switches to an eraser. Click to the right of the icon to erase wider areas or on the left side to erases narrower areas.

Clear screen
Clears all drawing from the displayed page.

Always show toolbars
Select to always display the Drawing Toolbar.

Selected tool
Displays the tool selected in pen and touch modes as one of these icons, depending on the projector model:

Note: If the projector model does not support a mode, the corresponding icon will not be displayed.

Close
Closes the Drawing Toolbar. To display the Drawing Toolbar again, select or (the Drawing Toolbar tab) on the side of the screen.
Also closes the Command Bar in Annotation mode.

Add text
Switches to text entry mode. Select the drawing area to display the text box.

Redo
Cancels an undo operation and restores the previous status.
